Worldskills Singapore is a national skills competition held biennially aimed to discover talents among youth in Singapore. I participated in the Chemical Laboratory Technology sector, where I was evaluated on my performance of analytical and synthetic chemistry procedures across three days. In preparation for the competition, I went through rigorous training in sample preparation, wet chemistry and instrumental techniques, which taught me the laboratory skills required to obtain a podium position in the competition.
